Since many years we are advancing our oxy-fuel based glass melting. The result is a highly efficient combustion process that requires about 30 percent less energy than conventional regenerative tanks. In addition, hardly any nitrogen oxides are produced. A perfect starting point to become a founding member of an energy efficiency network within the glass industry. For its commitments Auer Lighting has been awarded with special recognition by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. It almost goes without saying that our company operates an energy management system certified to ISO 50001.

Auer Lighting is also working on a continuous reduction of water consumption and waste. To reduce waste, we intensively involve both suppliers and customers. Our voluntary ISO 14001 certification testifies our commitment to the conservation of all resources.

And glass components from Auer Lighting make a significant contribution to environmental protection in their application: Unlike plastic, glass does not age.
