Auer Lighting operates one of the most environmentally friendly glass melting tanks in the world. Customers value the special characteristics of the borosilicate glass SUPRAX®. It allows the carefree use of optical components even under harsh environmental conditions such as UV radiation, corrosive and thermally challenging environments.
The inauguration marks the start of a tank run planned to last until 2022. 4 million Euros have been invested in the refurbishment of the melting unit and the required auxiliaries.
