One of the most advanced precision glass molding equipment has been installed at our Bad Gandersheim facility: a fully automated 21-stage roundtable press for the non-isothermal precision molding of SUPRAX^® borosilicate glass.

For you, our customers, this new technology allows for the cost-effective production of precise optics at an industrial scale. Since we do produce the gobs on our own, we can guarantee widest flexibility in weight and shape of the final optic. Shape accuracies below 10 µm and a surface roughness of 20 nm are possible. Our process itself is fast, especially compared to isothermal processes, where pressing times of minutes are needed.
